Besides the habitats that they were found in - shady understorey of tall trees, there are other things that we may not be aware about. <BR/><BR/>The release and translocation has already started. We will only know in good time. If you need to know more, or want to help out, send me an email. :)Commanderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03035224272922037277noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6432400397162178532.post-78803718214737712112007-11-09T20:50:00.000+08:002007-11-09T20:50:00.000+08:00just want to echo monkey's view: this is indeed a ...just want to echo monkey's view: this is indeed a great effort in species rehabilitation! and it's highly commendable that habitat conservation is prioritized. however i thought the result can be maximized if more is known about their host plant (i notice "hostplant" being mentioned thrice but still have no idea what plant is that..) from the text you sure understand the obligated relationship between Harlequin and their host very well and it's great that you even look out for sites with similar floristic composition for relocation! (even though reintroduction to unknown habitat without long term ecological monitoring is always a risky business) it would be helpful to know more about the ecology of that host plant because you might consider ex-situ propagation one day (in some nature parks maybe) perhaps i can also help if i see any of those plants in the field! ;)<BR/><BR/>by the way are these Lycaenids myrmecophilous?MShttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13738120710637671437noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6432400397162178532.post-40259494064854123822007-11-08T16:56:00.000+08:002007-11-08T16:56:00.000+08:00wow this is an amazing story! how come we don't he...wow this is an amazing story! how come we don't hear about this kind of news often enougH?!
